The Chartered Status

The Chartered status recognizes the well-developed skills, knowledge and professionalism of FCFA members working within the field of strategic financial management. Gaining Chartered Financial Controller designations demonstrate that you have achieved :

Businessman
Analyzing Graphs
Business Brainstorm

A standard of professional competency recognized by a professional body;

A Professional certification in the skills, knowledge and professionalism against the performance standards;

A recognized professional qualification for all legal and professional purposes

Type of Membership

There are two types of voting members in the Institute:

Associate Member, designated as “ACFA”

​The Principal qualifications for an Associate Member are as follows:

  1. An Associate Member must have passed or obtained exemptions from taking the RPA examinations as set by the Board of Directors; and

  2. Prove to the satisfaction of the Board of Directors that, at the time of application, the applicant has 5 years work experience.

Fellow Member, designated as “FCFA”

The principal qualifications for a Fellow Member are as follows:​

  1. A Fellow Member must have passed or obtained exemptions from taking the CFC examinations as set by the Board of Directors; and

  2. Prove to the satisfaction of the Board of Directors that, at the time of application, the applicant has 10 years work experience.

Subscription Fee ( Per person per annum )


Fellow Member ( FCFA)  : USD 300.00

Chartered Financial Controller : USD 100.00

Associate Member (ACFA) : USD 250.00

Registered Practicing Accountant : USD 100.00


Notes :

  1. A Chartered Financial Controller is a person who has passed the CFC Exam, but does not possess 10 years work experience.

  2. A Registered Practicing Accountant is a person who has passed the RPA Exam, but does not possess 5 years work experience.

  3. A Fellow Member is a person who has passed the CFC Exam, and posses 10 years work experience.

  4. An Associate Member is a person who has passed the RPA Exam, and possess 5 years work experience.

Honorary Fellowship

Subject to the approval of the Board of Directors, in exceptional circumstances, the Institute may invite distinguished members of the community to become Honorary Fellows. An Honorary Fellow of the Institute is not required to pay any annual subscription fee to the Institute. An Honorary Fellow is not a member of the Institute but is entitled to the privileges of membership exception the right to vote at meeting or run for election to office. An Honorary Fellow is entitled to use the designation “FCFA (Hon)”.
